Wills and estates across Israel and the U.S.

Many of our clients own property, accounts or have family in both Israel and the United States. We prepare plans that work in both countries and help families through the process when a loved one passes away.

Israeli wills

A clear, properly executed Israeli will prevents disputes and delay. We draft wills that reflect your wishes and your family’s situation, and explain each clause in English before you sign.

If you hold assets in both countries, we coordinate wills so that property in each country passes as you intend and the documents do not contradict each other.

Enduring Power of Attorney

Israel’s Enduring Power of Attorney (yipui ko’ach mitmashech) lets you choose who will make personal, medical and financial decisions for you if you can no longer make them yourself. It covers much of what Americans know as a health care proxy and a durable power of attorney.

Probate and inheritance orders

We file applications to probate a will (tzav kiyum tzava’ah) or for an inheritance order (tzav yerushah) with the Registrar of Inheritance, and represent families when a will is contested.

American documents in Israel

We review U.S. wills, trusts and powers of attorney and advise how they will be treated in Israel, and what should be added so that they work here.
